Dormitories operated by external organizations (Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) dormitories and private company dormitories) for which students can apply with Science Tokyo recommendation.
Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC)
The dormitory is operated by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and is located in Odaiba (Tokyo Bay Area). Single, married couple, and family rooms are available. Graduate students and above may apply to move in.
Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC) is a dormitory for students and researchers managed by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).
It is located a 15-minute walk from Rinkai Line's Tokyo Teleport Station, and easy access to Ookayama Campus an d Tamachi Campus.

- A photocopy of Student ID card *If you were a new student, you may submit the photocopy of the letter of acceptance or the submission permit, instead of Student ID card.

- (Only for applicants of Hall C or D) Certificate of Residence (住民票) issued within three months or official certificate shows relationship between you and your housemates, written in English or Japanese.

Dormitories of Private Companies
Private companies rent several rooms in their company dormitories for international students.
Basically, each company's dormitory has private rooms, but the facilities differ from each other. When there are vacancies in dormitories close to the campus, applications are accepted (on an irregular basis).
Applicants must meet the following requirements
- Must be a self-supporting international undergraduate or graduate student having "Student" visa status
- Must be unmarried or staying in Japan
- Must have enough Japanese skill and understanding of the Japanese lifestyle for daily life
- Must participate in seminars and lectures for residents held by the Foundation of Corporate Friendship Network for Foreign Students
