Insurance for students

Students may encounter unforeseen accidents in their daily classes, Science Tokyo-sponsored events, and extracurricular activities. Especially in science and engineering and medical, dental, and pharmaceutical academic fields like our Institute, accidents such as burns from chemicals, injuries from machines, and needle-stick injuries occur frequently.
As a relief system for such accidents involving students, the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) offers the Student Accident Insurance for Education and Research (Gakkensai) and its associated liability insurance. In addition, some faculties and departments may require students to join this insurance.
