Outline
The Center for Entrepreneurship Education is pleased to welcome Wilf Blackburn, a global business leader and author of Optimal Leadership: Reflections of a Serial CEO, for a lecture entitled “Practical Approaches to Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship” on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. The lecture will be held in a hybrid format, with in-person attendance at Ookayama Campus and online participation, followed by a Q&A session.
Focusing on business, the lecture will explore ways of thinking and practical approaches to creating value in highly uncertain environments from three perspectives: entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership and value creation.
Drawing on his experience as a CEO in multiple countries, Mr. Blackburn will share lessons learned from failure, approaches to empowering teams, and insights into effective leadership in cross-cultural environments.
The event is open to participants from all disciplines and backgrounds, including students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the general public.
*This is a Center for Entrepreneurship Education-certified event. Students who attend the lecture and complete the post-event survey will earn one entrepreneurship point.
