Introduction

The AI Ambassadors workshop introduces participants to generative AI not as a finished product to be consumed, but as a technology they can shape and direct. In hands-on machine learning tasks, participants train their own small-scale language models, design and evaluate AI agent prototypes, and reflect on the relationship between humans and AI systems, including their associated ethical issues. The workshop is done in collaboration with the ATOM (Age Against the Machine) project at the University of Oulu, which investigates how hands-on AI literacy activities can support young people's sense of agency in shaping their own working lives in an era of rapidly changing technology.
