We are now accepting applications for the fifth term (FY 2025) of this program.
1. Eligible projects |
To be eligible, projects must fulfill all of the following. 1) The project must be planned and conducted by Science Tokyo students themselves. 2) All members must be students. 3) The project's representative must be a Science Tokyo student. 4) In principle, the project group must consist of at least two Science Tokyo students. 5) Science Tokyo students must account for at least two thirds of the group members. 6) The project must not promote or endorse particular political or religious views. 7) The project must not be part of research currently under faculty supervision. 8) If the project receives funding from other sources, the amount must be less than the amount requested from the Student Success Support Project. |

3. Support details |
1) Financial support in the range of 100,000 yen to 500,000 yen per project * Generally, allowable expenses are limited to necessary items (consumables are permitted, but purchases over 100,000 yen per item are not), domestic travel, and rewards for non-Science Tokyo students. Exceptions may be considered upon consultation. * Please note that the final amount will be determined through a presentation-based review and may differ from the requested amount. 2) Access to the Hisao & Hiroko Taki Plaza (Taki Plaza) B1 Floor Student Support Center Meeting Room Reserve a common space in advance (only available for meetings and project work). 3) Printing of leaflets and posters 4) Lending of equipment owned by the Student Success Support Section, Student Support Center 5) Consultation with faculty members of the Student Success Support Section Note: During the past four years, one to six applications were accepted per year, with the support amount ranging from 60,000 yen to 500,000. |
4. Eligibility Requirements |
All of the following must be met. 1) The representative of the group must be a bachelor's or graduate student (excluding non-regular students) of Institute of Science Tokyo at the time of application and completion of the project. 2) Regardless of nationality, a set of application documents in Japanese or English must be prepared and the presentation must also be made in Japanese or English. Note: Each group is allowed to continue to apply for up to three years. About five projects will be selected this year. |
