1. 2026 Spring Semester's Grade (Score and Result)
It will be seen on the Web system from 2026 August.25(Tue)

2. Use of the Web system is suspended.
From 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026
To 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026

3. The automatic certificate machine will be suspended.
From Saturday, September 19, 2026
To 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026
(As grades from the spring semester are awarded at the end of the spring semester, transcripts containing grades from the spring semester can only be issued after the certificate issuing machine has been out of operation (fall semester).)

4. Deadline of "Pre-registration" of Humanities and Social Science Courses in 3Q and 4Q 2026
Pre-registration of Humanities and Social Science courses (course numbers starting with LAH) in 3Q & 4Q has been being conducted on the Web System for Students and Faculty, prior to the course registration period. The deadline is 13:00 on Thursday, September 10. Undergraduate students and master's program students who are planning to take these courses in 3Q and 4Q are advised to apply through "pre-registration" on the system.

Details have been announced by email sent from "lah.yoyaku@ila.isct.ac.jp" address according to target courses. There are many courses for which the number of applicants reach full capacity by pre-registration. If you have not answered the questionnaire on the system yet, make sure to take the necessary procedure.

Check emails sent from the Institute also during the summer break.

※For Master's degree students enrolling in September 2026, registration instructions will be given at the time of enrollment procedure.

5. After the Graduation Ceremony, all graduating students will receive one copy of their Certificate of Completion and one copy of their Academic Transcript.
International students who completed graduate school will receive one copy of English version Certificate of Completion and one copy of English version Academic Transcript in addition to the Japanese version certificate.
Students who need additional copies of certificates or transcripts (either in Japanese or in English) have to answer the questionnaire on the Web system for Students & Faculty (deadline: Sep. 6 for undergraduate students and Sep. 2 for graduate students.)
You cannot receive them with the automated issuance machines after the Ceremony.

6. 2026 Fall Semester will begin from October 1(Thu)

8. Using Learning Portfolio System
2026-1Q-2Q Grades have been released on Web system for S&F.
Let's review your studies in 1Q-2Q.
You can use Learning Portfolio System to record continuously your goals and activities which could be useful information for you in the future.

9. Renewal of Student ID Cards (Graduate Students)
Students whose ID card is due to expire in September 2026 but who will continue with their current education program beyond this month are requested to apply for a new card by Friday, September 11.
Visit either of the following locations to submit an application. Remember to bring a head-and-shoulders photograph (30 x 25 mm) to attach to the new card.

<Selection for Financial Support for Academic Year 2027>

The graduate major in Energy Science and Informatics will conduct the student selection for financial support in this fall semester. This selection process will be explained during the orientation for new students entering in September 2026, hosted by the Energy Science and Information Course.

Please note that the restricted electives in the "InfoSyEnergy Social Design courses" listed under "Completion Requirements 3" are scheduled to be discontinued this academic year.
Therefore, students are strongly encouraged to complete these credits within the current academic year.

[Science and Engineering / Graduate Students] Information Session on Entrepreneurship Courses (Credits Required for Graduate Degree Completion) - Scheduled to Be Available On Demand

Students who enrolled at Science Tokyo in AY 2024 or later are required to earn credits in entrepreneurship courses to complete their master's or doctoral programs.
The information session will explain the goals of Science Tokyo's entrepreneurship education, how to take the courses, and what courses are available. The session is scheduled to be available on demand.

1. [Science and Engineering] Briefing sessions on Entrepreneurship (Leadership and Value Creation) Courses

All students in the science and engineering fields who entered Science Tokyo in AY 2024 or later are strongly encouraged or required to earn credits from Entrepreneurship Courses as follows.

At these briefing sessions, we will explain the Entrepreneurship (Leadership and Value Creation) Courses, which are designed to develop and strengthen the mindsets and skills related to "leadership" and "value creation," two core functions of entrepreneurship. Attend a session to learn more.

<Bachelor's students> STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to complete at least 3 credits from two or more courses (A certificate of completion will be issued to students who meet the requirements.)
<Master's students> REQUIRED to earn at least two credits from entrepreneurship courses with assigned GA(s)*, and fulfill GA0M and GA1M.
<Doctoral students> REQUIRED to earn at least four credits from entrepreneurship courses with assigned GA(s)*, and fulfill GA0D and GA1D.

2. [Open to all students] Entrepreneurship Courses (Leadership and Value Creation) and Workshops

Students of any grade level or major* may enroll in Entrepreneurship Courses, which consist of various workshops, to earn credits, or participate in individual workshops. The following is information on courses and workshops to be offered in 3-4Q.
*Students in the medical and dental fields may participate only in individual workshops. (Credits or points will not be granted in this case.)

-Outline: This program is conducted hackathon-style, where participants will propose a new web service that they "wish existed," form teams, and develop it from scratch over an intensive four days, including a three-day camp. Six to eight professional web application developers will support you throughout the development process.

-Outline: Grounded in "Creative Confidence" and a "User-Centric" approach, Design Thinking serves as a foundational framework for fostering entrepreneurship. It builds practical capability through hands-on experience, moving beyond mere theory, helping participants clarify what they want to achieve and logically persuade others to make it happen. Led by professional designers and educators from the Stanford d.school, the University of Texas at Austin, and global organizations, this unique two-day workshop features fast-paced, highly engaging Silicon Valley-style facilitation.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Center for Startup Education at Science Tokyo as of July 1, 2026.

Our center offers practical entrepreneurship education designed to help you deliver new value to society by utilizing science, technology, and your innovative ideas. If you are interested in applying your research to benefit society, exploring business creation, or taking on the challenge to change the world, we strongly encourage you to register for our new startup education course (a specialized course open to all graduate students), starting on October 8.

Prior to the launch of our new course, "Innovation Teams," offered in the 3rd and 4th Quarters of AY2026, we will hold an Information Session (Webinar) as detailed below.

This course is open to all graduate students (Master's, Doctoral, and Professional degree programs) across all fields, including medical, dental, science, and engineering disciplines. We offer sessions in Japanese (with English subtitles) as well as sessions conducted entirely in English, so international students are also very welcome to attend.
